It’s that time again to conduct the 2017 Pioneerette Clinic. This is an annual event where attendees learn the steps of Pioneerette cheer and have fun in the process.
Attendees will learn drill down where commands are called out and the girls do as instructed.
“We also teach a fun line dance to get them warmed up and ready to go,” said Pioneerette coach Penny Shockley. “We will be having Dress Up Days at clinic this year. Monday is favorite sport. Tuesday is favorite sport team, and Wednesday is Crazy Day. On Thursday, we will wear our clinic shirts and reward the dancers with ribbons and girls from each group will be recognized as Superstars, Line Dancers, Technique, and Free Style Dancers and those ladies will have to opportunity to compete to be our champions for the week in their areas. We will also drill down to one girl on the last day and she will be crowned our drill down champion for the week.”
The clinic theme this year is “Let’s Play … and Dance.” The clinic will be held at the WCHS gym from April 3-6. The clinic will be open to those in grades K-11.
The girls will be in clinic from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and from 3:15 to 6 p.m. on Thursday. If you cannot make it right at 3:15 p.m., you can come late.
