The Warren County cross country team will be holding a Pioneer 5K fundraiser to help with travel and team expenses for the upcoming season.
The Pioneer 5K will be held at the Warren County Middle School track on Saturday, Aug. 26. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the race to begin at 9 a.m.
“The race is open to all of Warren County,” said cross country coach Patty Kelly. “We’re hoping for a good turnout to support our team.”
The cost is $25 to enter the race with a T-shirt, or $15 to enter without a T-shirt. There will be prizes for the first six to cross the finish line and a complimentary prize for all racers entered.
To register, contact Kelly at kellyp@warrenschools.com with name, shirt size (if needed) and if you’re paying cash or check. All money will be collected the day of the race.
