Peyton Manning is shunning the chance to return to the state where he enjoyed glory in college to sign with the Denver Broncos, according to NFL.com.Manning reportedly picked Denver over the Titans and 49ers, a league source told NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi on Monday.Manning reportedly called Broncos vice president of football operations John Elway on Monday to inform him of his decision.The move is expected to signal the end of Tebowmania in Denver where Tim Tebow created a rabid fan base.The Broncos flew to Durham, N.C., to watch Manning throw at nearby Duke University last Friday. The Broncos' contingent was led by John Elway, the team’s executive vice president of football operations, and coach John Fox and were also joined by general manager Brian Xanders, offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, quarterbacks coach Adam Gase and medical personnel.“We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C.,” Elway tweeted after the session. “He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there.
