The first regular season home game for the Warren County Pioneers soccer team was held Tuesday night as the Pioneers faced off against the Oakland Patriots.The Patriots hit the field running, literally, and after two grueling, 40-minute halves of intense, physical play the Oakland Patriots defeated the Pioneers 6-0.One highlight for Warren County was goalie Jacob Dodd. Dodd was able to fend off many of the Patriots shots, but 11 minutes into the game Oakland broke through the defense with its first goal.The Patriot midfielders controlled the ball for most of the first half and the strikers were relentless in their pursuit of scoring. In all, Oakland had 12 shots on goal during the first half.
