Displaying more vigor and vivacity than any fan could expect, the Pioneers took the hardwood at home against district rival Cookeville on Friday.Down one game in district play so far, the Pioneers (10-8, 0-2) were after a definitive win and by all accounts it looked like they would get it. After three quarters, Warren County was up by 4 points, 30-26, and things were looking up as it was soon 36-24 and Warren County was on fire.Unfortunately, several miscues, a few lost rebounds, and a Cavalier team that just wouldn’t quit and Cookeville would rally to steal a thriller in the final seconds of overtime, 61-60.“The players did everything we asked of them,” said WCHS coach Chris Sullens. “We just have to learn to continue to play for four quarters.
