All Church League season, New Bybees and Madison Street had been battling for the Women’s A division top spot.It took until the final night of the regular season to decide the winner. New Bybees claimed the regular season title by defeating Madison Street 13-11 Tuesday night at Warren County Fairgrounds.Kris Sparkman broke a 11-11 tie in the top of the seventh with a two-run double to give New Bybees its ninth win.Madison Street had a chance to tie in the seventh with two runners on and two outs, but Emily Lopez flied out to left field to end the game.New Bybees jumped out to an early 6-0 lead through the halfway point of the third inning. Lea Montgomery had RBIs in the first and second innings and Blaire Smith had a two-run single in the third to push the advantage to six.Madison Street cut the lead in half in the bottom of the third when Lopez, Tonya Swann and Kaylee Murray each had RBI singles.New Bybees bounced back quickly, scoring two in the fourth and two more in the fifth to take a 10-3 lead.
