Myers named freshman of year for Freed-Hardeman

Warren County native and Freed-Hardeman freshman Brittany Myers has enjoyed a successful first season as part of the Lady Lions golf team. Myers has earned freshman of the year honors and second team all-conference honors this season.
Former Warren County High School girls standout golfer Brittany Myers has been a huge success in her first season at Freed-Hardeman, leading the golf team while only a freshman.While at WCHS, Myers led her team to a fourth-place finish at the state tournament her junior and senior years. She was named to the 6-AAA All-District team three times throughout her high school career, earning medalist honors her junior year.Myers has earned freshman of the year recognition this year for FHU, earning second-team all-conference honors and has enjoyed having an 82.65 stroke average, which makes her one of the top golfers on the Lady Lions roster.When asked what it was like to win freshman of the year and second-team all-conference honors, Myers said, “It was really an honor and I’m pleased on the way the season went for me and my teammates. It was a great accomplishment and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my teammates, family and coaches guiding me along.”
