Any time your team heads into a game versus Mudbums, you can expect a lot of hit-and-run style softball followed by lots of stolen bases. Thursday evening was a little different. There was not much hitting and not much running.

In the top of the first, Halo Armstrong for Mudbums was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. Armstrong stole every base and even stole home for the first score of the game. The next four batters for Mudbums reached base on balls. Mudbums held an early 2-0 lead with bases loaded. Ryleigh Rankin was hit by a pitch and earned herself a free trip to first base and it walked across another run for a 3-0 lead. Two more walks, two more runs and Mudbums had reached its five-run limit.
In the bottom of the first, Southern Girls led the inning off with a walk by Ebonie Ross.
