Morrison too much for Wizards
NickBrooksWEB
The tip-off at the start of the West versus Morrison game Tuesday night seems rather one-sided as West Wizard Nicholas Brooks, left, looks like he could use a ladder against Morrisons Caylon Driver.
West’s Wizards couldn’t Harry Potter their way to a win Tuesday night with Morrison’s Eagles as Morrison took a commanding victory, 25-8, at Bobby Ray Elementary.Continuing its bid for a championship in the 5-6 grade season, Morrison played a steady offense and heavy D jumping off to a 19-0 halftime lead. Heading up the scoring drive for the Eagles was towering Will Davis who hit for 8 points, a game high. The Morrison boys have been one of the established teams to beat this year, having held a top three seed throughout the season.West has been struggling against its bigger foes, but keeps playing unfazed. Morrison commanded the height and controlled most of the game clock in Tuesday’s contest.“It was a great opportunity for us to play some of our younger players,” said Morrison coach Kyle Cannon.
