Friday was a perfect night to be outside, and the kids on the Ryan J. Moore Lil’ Lawyers and Red Door Kids teams were enjoying their game in the Morrison T-Ball League.

There was plenty of coaching and even instruction from umpire Leanne Pelham Morrison when necessary at the plate. Melita Holland, Alanna Starkey and Ryan J. Moore coach the Ryan J. Moore Lil’ Lawyers, and Leslie King coaches Red Door Kids.

Both teams left the game happy because Morrison does not keep score in the T-Ball League.

Each team hits and fields for two innings, which is a good introduction to the game for the 4- and 5-year-olds.

Leanne Pelham Morrison umpires four games a week at the Morrison ball fields. Pelham said, “I love this age of kids, and Morrison is my home. We are building a house here.”

Ryan J. Moore who is also a Morrison Ruritan member, said, “I am thankful we have been able to play this year. It’s exciting to see these little ball players develop talent, learn good sportsmanship, and make new friends.”
