Morrison Industries shuts down Brent's Computer

Brayan Holquin gets ready to deliver a pitch during action Friday night against Brents Computer Center. Holquin and Morrison Industries came away with the 8-4 victory in comeback fashion earning their first win of the season.

In Boys 9-11 year old baseball action Friday night at Sam Martin Field, Morrison Industries defeated Brent’s Computer Center, 8-4, in a close game until the end.
Morrison Industries improved to 1-0 on the season, while Brent’s Computer Centers fell to 0-1.
Morrison Industries was led by a strong performance on the mound by Brayan Holquin, who went four strong innings, striking out eight batters and surrendering four runs. Justus Majors led Morrison Industries at the plate, going 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Brent’s Computer Center got to Holquin in the top of the first, scoring three runs thanks to an RBI double by Brady Womack and RBI singles from Nathan Bond and Sam Rivers, 3-0.
Morrison Industries scored a run in the bottom of the inning to trim the lead to two thanks to a fielder’s choice by Brent’s Computer Center, scoring a run, 3-1, after one. Holquin settled down on the mound in the top of the second but did allow another run thanks to a walk and Brent’s Computer grew its lead, 4-1.
Morrison Industries didn’t go away though, scoring a run in the bottom of the inning courtesy of a walk and made it a two-run game again, 4-2. Holquin was dealing on the mound in the top of the third as he sat down the side in order, keeping Morrison Industries within striking distance.
Morrison Industries finally grabbed the lead in the bottom of the inning, scoring six runs thanks to RBI singles from Justus Majors, Nathan Elrod and Gavin Mason, 5-4. That was followed by a 2-RBI double by Kobe Cagle and another RBI single from Devan Grayson, 8-4, after three.
Brent’s Computer Center was down to its final three outs in the top of the fourth and didn’t manage to tie or win the game and Morrison Industries came away victorious, 8-4, after a remarkable come-from-behind win, to earn their first victory.
