Gavin Mason is determined to throw a strike as he winds up for a pitch during boys 9-11 baseball action. Mason and Morrison Industries continued their winning ways with a victory over Pioneer Pediatrics on Friday night.
In boys 9-11 baseball action at Sam Martin Field last Friday night, Morrison Industries looked to continue its winning ways against Pioneer Pediatrics. Morrison Industries used a three-run fourth inning to prevail over Pioneer Pediatrics, 6-4.Justus Majors, Gavin Mason, Harley Hernandez, Ashton Forth, Ethan Basham and Devan Grayson led the way at the plate for Morrison Industries with a hit apiece.Brayan Holgain was dominate on the mound for Morrison Industries, pitching in relief of Gavin Mason. Holgain went three innings and struck out seven batters, while only allowing a run.In the loss, Pioneer Pediatrics saw a valiant effort at the plate by Parker Smith, Connor Andrews, Blair Sinks and Josiah Laxson, who contributed a hit apiece.Smith suffered the loss on the mound, allowing six runs in four innings, while striking out three batters.Pioneer Pediatrics came out in the top of the first inning with its bats on fire as it saw three quick runs cross the plate to gain the early advantage.
