Morrison defenders Jaylen Norwood, No. 14, Rylon Morrison, No. 1, and Kristopher Robledo, No. 22, surround Dibrell’s Jordin Mitchell, No. 32, on Saturday at the high school Charlie Dalton Gym. Morrison won 44-26.

Morrison and Dibrell boys closed out a day of elementary games at Charlie Dalton Gym at WCHS on Saturday.

The gym was not too big for Kristopher Robledo, who scored 20 points for Morrison, nor was it too big for Dibrell’s Anthony Moore who scored 18 points. Morrison was too strong for Dibrell, winning, 44-26.

Morrison looks like a favorite to finish in first place in District 2 of the Warren County Elementary Association. Morrison has many skilled ball handlers such as Robledo and A.J. Whitman, and there are many players who can score for Morrison.

After the game, Morrison head coach Chris Roberson talked about his team. Roberson said, “I think the boys did really good. Dibrell gave us some tough competition early. I think both teams were a little nervous playing out here on this bigger court. Otherwise, I think it was a good game.”
