The Morrison Eagles won the boys championship and the Dibrell Lady Wildcats claimed the girls title during the Morrison Ruritan Preseason Tournament finals held Saturday.
Both games were one-sided and show the rest of the county schools must muster much improvement if they’re going to knock off these preseason champs.
The Morrison boys captured a convincing 47-20 victory over Dibrell to claim the title. Morrison was up 20-2 at the end of the first quarter and Dibrell was never able to mount a serious challenge.
In girls action, Dibrell used its defense to take down Irving College, 35-15. Only two Irving College players were able to score.
