When the Morrison Eagles were invited to the Jingle Bell Classic in Grundy County, they might have been ready to break for Christmas, but not from the hardwood as they took care of business beating Bedford County, 45-37.A close contest throughout, the Community Vikings kept knocking on the door as the Eagles just outhustled Bedford with enough extra effort on the boards and defensively to give Morrison the edge it needed at the final buzzer.“Community had size and shooters and were very well coached,” said Morrison head coach Kyle Cannon. “It was the best played game I’ve seen in a while. Our boys finally started playing as a team.”Leading by just 5 points in the fourth quarter, the Eagles kept up the pressure as Ryland Holder scored 5 of his 13 total points in the final six minutes.
