The attraction of returning to his hometown and coaching at his high school alma mater was too much for basketball coach Malcolm Montgomery to refuse.Montgomery accepted a job last week to coach the Gallatin High School girls basketball team.“Sports are big in Gallatin and girls basketball has been huge in the past,” said Montgomery, a 1990 Gallatin graduate. “In 1987, the team went 34-0, and they won the state championship in 1999. The program has kind of fallen on hard times in recent years so I know I have my work cut out for me.
