McBride’s Window Cleaning’s quest for the tournament title relied heavily on a powerful offense, stout defense and a lot of hope.Hope Mullican pitched three no-hit innings, striking out nine in the process, to help McBride’s defeat the Doc’s Braves 12-3 in the girls 9-10-year-old junior league championship game.Mullican combined with Lexie Chadwell to throw a no-hitter, as all of the Braves runs came in the third inning on free passes issued by McBride’s. Chadwell pitched the final two innings, racking up six K’s as McBride’s recorded every out by strikeout.McBride’s got off to a hot start, benefiting greatly by erratic pitching by the Braves. Candace Woodruff led off the game with a walk, which was followed by a double by Madison Merriman.Another walk, this time issued to Mullican, loaded the bases for Chadwell.
