The games at the Midway ball fields Monday night were all-out great games. To start the action off, Midway Mafia went up against Midway Mayhem and Mayhem prevailed, 8-6.

Midway Mayhem came out of the gate swinging and scored 5 runs in the first, including 2 huge inside-the-park home runs by Garrett Western and Aiden Greene to cap off an outstanding first inning from the powerful Mayhem squad.

Midway Mafia had a slow start and couldn’t plate a run in the first, but went to work in the second as they were able to score 3 runs to make it a much closer 5-3 ballgame.

Midway Mafia was determined to come back as they scored 2 runs in the third, including an RBI double by Ty Arnold, better known around Midway ballpark as “Mullet.” To go along with some good offense Caden Baughman made an acrobatic catch in left field to rob Mayhem of a hit and fire up his team.

Mayhem knew they had to do something to pull away from Midway Mafia as they were making a comeback. In return they plated 1 run in each of the next three innings to make it 8-5. Midway Mafia didn’t give up the whole game as they scored another run in the final inning but couldn’t get anything else going as they dropped a close one to Midway Mayhem, 8-6.

Triple B Farms 23

Bouldin Nursery 14

The next showdown was Bouldin Nursery against Triple B Farms, led by their star slugger Leo Chavez. This was a big-time game in the Senior League and Triple B did not disappoint as they ended the game with 23 runs scored, a true offensive showcase.

Triple B got that show started in the first inning where they were able to get 4 runs in, followed by 6 runs in the second to start off with a quick 10-0 lead. That wouldn’t stand for long as Bouldin Nursery had 11 players come across to score including 2 runs in the same inning from Trace Bouldin and Ethan Womack to shock Triple B, 11-10.

That slim lead would soon fade as Triple B scored 5 more runs to make it a 15-11 ballgame as they took control once again. To cap off that solid inning was Leo Chavez’s home run to plate 3 runs. Chavez ended the game with 2 home runs, one being an inside-the-park home run and a triple that scored 2 additional runs for his team.

Bouldin Nursery would put up a 3 in the run column to make it a 15-14 game and look to continue their chase for the victory. Triple B would put their hope to sleep as they capped off an amazing night with 13 more runs in the last 3 innings to earn an exciting 23-14 victory over Bouldin Nursery.

Warren Mech. 22

Bouldin Nursery 11

Later that night, Bouldin Nursery played again and tried to dig up a win against Warren Mechanical. After the first two innings, Bouldin held on to a slim 5-3 lead. That wouldn’t last long as Warren Mechanical scored 18 runs through the next two innings to plant a loss on Bouldin Nursery.

Bouldin would never be out of it as they were able to get 6 more runs across, but had no answer for the Warren Mechanical offense as Warren Mechanical cruised to a 22-11 win.

A&P 12

Bell Farms 11

The final game of the night was between Bell Farms and A&P. This game was a nail-biter all the way from the start to the end.

Most of the action happened in the final two innings but both teams came to swing as after two frames Bell Farms held a solid 5-2 lead and plated 6 more to finish with 11.

A&P, however scored 10 runs of its own in the final 2 innings, including a walk-off single to end the game with a 12-11 victory to end off a solid night at Midway.
