The situation was all too familiar for the Warren County High School soccer team. The Pioneers needed to only defeat the Coffee County Red Raiders to earn their first trip to regionals in 10 years.For the second straight year though, Warren County came up on the short end of a 2-1 match against the Red Raiders.The Pioneers, who finished the season as the district runner-up, this time were the host school for the matchup between the rival soccer programs.Warren County got off to a strong start, with Alex Serna scoring at the 15-minute mark to put the Pioneers up 1-0. Serna was the beneficiary of a perfectly executed play by the Pioneers.After Warren County was awarded a corner kick, senior Adam Fann elected not to send in the ball.
