The Warren County Middle School baseball team was one pitch away from starting its season 2-0 Saturday, but that pitch didn’t find the catcher’s glove.Instead, Isaac Golden’s 0-2 pitch with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning ended up bouncing off the center-field fence as Shelbyville plated two runs to tie the game. Shelbyville Harris would go on to win 4-3 in extra innings.Warren County (1-1) held a 3-1 lead going into the final inning and Golden looked well on his way to locking down a save after Cameron Shaw pitched five solid innings. Golden struck out the first batter of the seventh inning, but back-to-back singles put the tying runs on board with one away.
