Bracton Womack drove the ball well off the tee despite the weather conditions during the state tournament. Womack finished tied for 13th and shot a 1-over in the field of 69 competitors this week at WillowBrook Golf Club.
Behind two solid rounds of golf, Warren County sophomore Bracton Womack finished tied for 13th at the state golf tournament held at WillowBrook Golf Club.Womack finished the first day even par at 72, and followed that with a 1-over performance of 73 to finish 1-over for the tournament held Tuesday and Wednesday.Womack qualified for the state tournament individually. Spencer Cross of Sevier County won the boys state with a two-day score of -10. The Lady Pioneers qualified as a team and didn’t enjoy a sparkling performance, finishing eighth out of eight teams.
