Saturday could be the final day for young baseball and softball players to register for the fall league to be held at McMinnville Civic Center.The McMinnville Youth Baseball and Softball league will hold sign-ups Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. for boys and girls ages 7-10 in hopes of filling out four leagues.The leagues featured will be 7-8 machine-pitch league and 9-10 junior leagues where the players pitch to the batters. League commissioner Dell Watson is giving parents of 8-year-old players the choice of which league they would like their child to participate in this fall.Boys ages will be determined by the child's age as of May 1. The age as of Jan. 1 will be considered for girls registration.McMinnville Civic Center has held fall leagues the last two years, but only for boys.
