The only thing that stood between the Irving College Lady Tigers and perfection was the Boyd Lady Broncos Monday night. Boyd wasn’t in the way long.The Lady Tigers completed an undefeated regular season in the girls 7-8 grade elementary league with a 38-19 victory at J.K. Stanley Gymnasium.Boyd (4-6) was hoping having the home-court advantage – bolstered by a packed crowd awaiting the celebration of eighth-grade night – would help pull off the upset of the year. Instead, the Lady Broncos were blitzed by the fast-pace Lady Tigers.Irving College used its full-court press and quick-strike offense to fluster the Lady Broncos and build a big lead.
