In a decisive 7-0 victory, the WCHS Lady Pioneer soccer team routed Red Bank in Chattanooga on Thursday evening. The win improves Warren County’s record to 4-4-2 overall.“We had a number of players make important contributions, with 22 players seeing significant playing time,” said Lady Pioneer head coach Todd Willmore. “Overall, it was an excellent team win.”According to Wilmore, a shout out goes to team defense being key in the victory “Defensively, Bethany Porter, Emma Mullican, Neva Tacket, Sarai Ruiz, Gwynie Simpson, Sarah Lockhart, Megan Winkler, Kyra Garrison, and Haven Griffith all did an excellent job of limiting Red Bank’s scoring opportunities.”The Lady Pioneer soccer team sees action again on the road against district rival Rhea County, Tuesday, Sept. 20.Statistics for the Lady Pioneer shutout were Natalie Reed, 3 goals, Savannah Cox, 2 goals, Emory Anish, one goal and two assists, MaKenna Mason, one goal and one assist, Abby Roller two assists, and Sally Willmore one assist.
