It was an up-and-down week for the Warren County Middle School softball team.The Lady Pioneers opened the week by beating Harris Middle School 11-2 at home Tuesday, but fell 3-2 Wednesday to Tullahoma.Warren County (2-2) continued its early-inning success against Harris.In their first two games last week, the Lady Pioneers tallied 17 runs in the first inning.Against Harris, Warren County plated three runs in each of the first two innings, then added four more in the third to put the game away.Lindsey Cox started the first-inning scoring. Cox led off the game with a single, which was followed by a walk to Ty Ramirez.After Madison Mason singled to load the bases, Emily Webb drew a walk to score Cox. Two groundouts brought around Mason and Webb as Warren County built a 3-0 lead.Cox dominated the Harris bats in the circle the first two innings, allowing only one base runner and no runs.Cox ignited another rally in the second.
