Abby Graves won her singles and doubles sets Thursday to push the Lady Pioneers past Boyd 7-0.

Sweeps have become a common occurrence for the Lady Pioneers. Warren County displayed its dominance again Thursday, beating Boyd 7-0.

Not only did the WCHS girls tennis team win each set, many were runaways as the Lady Pioneers seem to be gaining steam as the postseason nears. Rachel Jackson and Ronna Takahashi both won their singles matches 8-0, beating Dara Stubblefield and Jaci Wright, respectively. Izzy Pitts also won 8-1 over Anslee McCrary, Abby Graves took home an 8-2 victory in the No. 1 singles pairing and London Caten brought home the most disputed set, beating CJ Perry 8-5.

In doubles, it was a pair of 8-3 victories for Warren County as Graves and Caten paired to defeat Perry and Isa Prater while Takahashi and Jackson downed McCrary and Stubblefield.

An exhibition set, not counted in the final tally, also proved to be a big win for the Lady Pioneers as Emma Dillon teamed with Pitts to defeated Wright and Boyd's Kendlee Ferrell 6-1.

The victory completed a sweep for WCHS over its local rival and keeps the team rolling as it prepares for the team district semifinals Thursday, April 25. Warren County will also play at Cannon County this Tuesday to complete the regular season.
