At least the Warren County High School softball team got a hit.That was the biggest bright spot from Friday’s game as the Lady Pioneers let an early lead slip away to Lincoln County and lost 10-4 in a day game in front of the WCHS student body.Warren County (2-13) has played the Lady Falcons in several day games in the last few years, including one last year when Tanner Sanders stifled the Lady Pioneer bats en route to a no-hitter. This season the Lady Pioneers got hits and scored runs, but fell short in their bid to earn a win.The Lady Pioneers were riding a wave of confidence coming into Friday’s contest after defeating Cumberland County 4-1 three days before. Another win looked promising when the Lady Pioneers built a three-run lead in the first inning.Using shaky pitching by the Lady Falcons, Warren County scored three runs in the bottom of the first.
