The Lady Pioneers were defeated in straight sets by Cookeville Tuesday night in the district finals.The Lady Cavaliers won the match 25-19, 25-21 and 25-15 to claim the championship in front of a packed house of Warren County supporters at Charlie Dalton Gym.Coach Katie Rogers felt like the adrenaline of a big victory Monday over Soddy Daisy – which qualified the team for next week’s regional tournament – had run out by the time the Lady Pioneers took the court Tuesday.“I think we were mentally, physically and emotionally drained from our game the night before,” said Rogers. “We couldn’t get in our system to make plays.
