Coach Todd Willmore couldn’t figure out if the Lady Pioneers’ 16-win season set a school record, but it didn’t make the team any less special in his eyes.Willmore and the Lady Pioneer booster club showed how appreciative they were of the girls soccer team on Sunday when they held a banquet to honor the successful season.Willmore, who took over four years ago as coach, has a special place in his heart for the senior class who started with the coach and leaves Warren County as one of the most successful classes of all time.“When these seniors arrived, the team had won three games in two years,” said Willmore. “They’re a fun, diverse group who led in different ways.“They were my first group of freshmen and have become like an extension of my family.”The senior class includes Nicole Mullican, Emily Crawford, Mary Ann Haley, Allison Connor, Emily Gawel and Molly Campbell. In their four seasons, the senior class racked up 40 victories, won the District 6-AAA regular season championship and was two-time regional semifinalists.Along with receiving captain awards, Mullican, Connor and Crawford each received individual honors as Willmore recognized nine different members of the team.
