Boyd Christian School’s Lady Broncos made it two in a row Thursday as they played host to Bobby Ray, defeating the Lady Stars, 31-15.Ava Jones was on fire as Boyd’s number one shooter, earning 18 points in the contest, a game high and more than the combined offense of Bobby Ray. A finesse player, Jones was able to run the floor all game and was spot-on shooting from the side. The Lady Broncos (4-8) brought some tenacious D as well, as Bella Stiles was a playmaker in the turnover department by aggressively addressing the ball. Stiles scored 6 points, mostly by driving through traffic to the hoop. The Lady Stars (2-8) were able to post some defense early as Bobby Ray’s Saydie Farmer fought the boards for rebounds but by halftime, the Lady Broncos had them back on their heels with a 14-7 lead.“The girls continue to give a great effort every game and are developing a better understanding of the game,” said Boyd Lady Broncos coach Allison Stiles.
