The first time the Dibrell Lady Wildcats and Eastside Lady Bulldogs matched up, Rachel Johnson’s basket in the final seconds gave Dibrell a victory. The second meeting ended in similar fashion.The Lady Bulldogs had a chance to win, but Ali Hollandsworth couldn’t connect with a last-second shot and Johnson sealed the deal with two free throws as Dibrell won 35-32.The Lady Bulldogs were focused on revenge Monday night as the last meeting with the Lady Wildcats ended with a bitter defeat on the road.Eastside held the lead for a good portion of the second half, including going into the fourth quarter ahead 23-21 after Hollandsworth sank a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the third period.Dibrell fought its way back behind post Sianna Womack. Womack gave the Lady Wildcats their first lead of the final period on a three-point play with 2:57 to go.Down 26-25, Rylan Moore answered right back for the Lady Bulldogs by sinking a runner in the lane.Bailey Barrett locked the score at 27 with a free throw at the two-minute mark, then drilled a 3-pointer that ended up giving the Lady Wildcats the lead for good.Barrett’s 3-pointer from the top of the key was followed by a free throw from Womack as Dibrell went ahead 31-27 with 1:40 to play.Jayden Smith, who was saddled with early foul trouble when Eastside fell behind 9-5 in the first quarter, cut the lead in half with a driving layup on the ensuing possession.Dibrell followed with a turnover, but the Lady Bulldogs didn’t capitalize and the Lady Wildcats regained possession.A wild scramble under the basket ended when Womack grabbed an offensive rebound and laid it in to put Dibrell back ahead four, but Smith would come back with another big shot.Smith flew up court, eventually stopping at the top of the key where she fired a 3-pointer.
