Boyd Christian High Schools Lady Bronco head coach Brent Warren goes over strategy with his team during senior night. The Lady Broncos clinched the No. 1 seed in the district with two wins over the weekend.

Boyd Christian’s Lady Broncos went on a clean sweep this weekend, defeating both rivals by a handy margin. On Friday, Boyd played host to West Academy and defended the house with a dominant 81-45 victory.
Then on Saturday, Boyd hit the road to Clarksville and claimed another commanding victory, 60-17, cementing the Lady Broncos’ position as the No. 1 seeded team in the South Division in the MTAC.
In Friday’s home game, Boyd jumped off to a 15-10 first-quarter lead it would never relinquish as it was 58-32 at the break.
The Lady Bronco offense worked inside the paint for much of their scoring with Morgan DeWeese hitting a game-high 23 points all from inside the arc. Lady Bronco Rhiannon Hoover mixed it up with two treys adding to her 20-point total.
Rounding out Boyd’s tally over West was MacKinzie Pistole, who had 16 points, Stephanie Mullins 13 points, Erin Cantrell 5 and Emma Rhoton scored 4 points.
Securing their No. 1 spot in the division Saturday, Pistole took top scoring honors earning a double-double with 10 rebounds and 18 points, followed closely by Rhiannon Hoover with 17 points.
Rounding out the Lady Bronco scoring was Morgan DeWeese with 14 points, Erin Cantrell 6, Alaina Stiles 3 and Emma Rhoton with 2 points.
