Mackenzie Pistole scored a game-high 21 points for the Lady Broncos in Tuesday's win against Grace Christian.

On Tuesday night, Boyd Christian School continued to roll as the Lady Broncos played host to the Grace Christian Academy Lionettes.
The Lady Broncos held an 8-2 record in district play heading into the matchup. The Lady Broncos had beaten Grace Christian Academy on their previous meeting and would make it a sweep, defeating Grace Christian Academy 51-31 in Westwood.
Mackenzie Pistole scored a game-high 21 points for the Lady Broncos.
Full-court pressure on the ball created turnovers in the opening minutes resulting in easy scoring in transition for Boyd. Morgan Deweese opened up the offense by scoring seven of her nine-point total in the first quarter off Lionette turnovers. At the end on one period, the Lady Broncos had a 13-6 lead even though the offense had not fully opened up yet.
Pistole had four points in the first but had been relatively quiet until the second. Boyd opened the second with more pressure on the ball creating havoc in the backcourt for the Lionette guards. This is when Pistole started heating up.
Brooklyn Bain and Rhiannon Hoover picked off the Lionette passes and fed the ball in deep to a waiting Pistole and she quickly collected 11 of her 21-point total in the second quarter. Hoover also scored all seven of her points in the second quarter in giving the Lady Broncos a comfortable lead at the half, 33-10.
The Lady Broncos cut off all means of scoring by Grace Christian Academy except for the four points scored by Chorlee Baker in the second quarter.
Out of the half the Lady Broncos went right back to work, this time with Erin Cantrell and Stephanie Mullins getting into the scoring column while Pistole continued to lead the Lady Bronco charge.
The fourth quarter came and Boyd had pulled back and the Lionettes were able to find points inside. Sydney Keeter and Baker combined for 12 points in the final quarter. It would not be enough to overtake the Lady Broncos and Boyd would leave Westwood with another win to move to 9-2 in district play.
FCA is up next for the Lady Broncos on Saturday night with a tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.
