Boyd’s Lady Broncos played host to the Christian Community Lady Colts on Thursday and sent them packing, 67-17, in round one of the district playoffs.Distributing the basketball well, the Lady Broncos had a 39-11 lead at the break. In addition to repeatedly finding the open lane, Boyd’s Rhiannon Hoover converted four treys to stymy the Lady Colt D which had no answer on how to stop the Lady Broncos.Morgan DeWeese and Erin Cantrell led the total tally for Boyd with 19 and 18 points, respectively, while Hoover added 15. Rounding out the scoring were Stephanie Mullins with 8 points and Mackinzie Pistole with 7.Excelling on offense, the Lady Broncos were lightning fast transitioning, making for a frustrating contest for the Lady Colts whose highest scoring quarter was the first with 6 points.
