It took High's Funeral Home a little time to warm up Thursday in the junior league title game, but once the group in orange got going, there was no slowing them down.
High's Funeral Home beat All Gas 16-6 to claim the title at Morrison. It followed a second-place finish in the regular season by the talented group.
Isaiah Robledo's inside-the-park HR in the second inning started moving High's in the right direction, but it wasn't until the fourth when the team really figured it out at the plate.
Austin Roberts, Harmoni Kennerly, Isaiah, Kia' Ann King and Micah Fleming all had hits to start the fourth, pushing High's into its first lead at 7-6.
The lead only grew from there. Isaiah and Kristopher Robledo both had doubles during a three-run fifth inning, as did King.
In the sixth, the team kept scoring until the mercy rule was enacted. Gracey Torres helped things with a two-run single, Alyssa Eubanks roped a double and Isaiah ended it with a double to score Kennerly and put his team up 10.
All Gas was led by three hits apiece from Alex and Manny Perez.
