Pioneers push Blackman to brink

Taking the field by storm Friday night, the Warren County Pioneer football team mounted a first-strike scoring drive that silenced the Blackman crowd. Booting an on-sides kick after Blackman’s Blaze chose to receive, the Pioneers recovered on the 47-yard line. Three first downs later, Pioneer Brandon Velazquez took the ball home for a TD and a 7-0 lead after the PAT was good.Unfortunately, after Warren County held the lead for the first quarter, Blackman regained its composure and went on to win the contest 35-21.
