Football isn’t just for boys anymore.
Warren County High School girls will be taking their talents to the gridiron tomorrow night as the second annual Powder Puff football games will be held at the WCHS soccer field starting at 6:15 p.m.
Lady Pioneer basketball coach Erick Baird brought the tradition to Warren County last year and after a wildly successful first year, high school girls are again ready to trade in their high heels and makeup in favor of cleats and flags.
Three flag football games will be played tomorrow night as money raised by the event will go to the Lady Pioneer basketball program.
The senior girls will take on the freshman girls and the juniors will do battle with the sophomores. The winners of the first two games will play in the championship and the right to play in front of the student body Friday.
The winning team Thursday night will play a faculty team Friday, with the game tentatively scheduled to be played during seventh period.
Each game tomorrow will be 20 minutes. Admission will be $3.
