Third place in the girls 7-9 standings was on the line when Graves Family Orchard squared off with Womack Printing Monday at Hoover and Millraney Field.

Behind a three-hit performance from Chloe Wanamaker and early inside-the-park home runs, Graves Family Orchard was able to prevail 9-2. The victory moved the team to 4-3, while Womack Printing fell to 2-4.

Wanamaker was an offensive catalyst, sparking the offense in the first and third innings with lead-off hits as the team scored eight of its nine runs.

Wanamaker was able to score in the first when Ashlynn Graves slammed a shot into the outfield and circled the bases for an inside-the-park home run. Kaydence Wiser followed with a round-tripper of her own, making it 3-0 early.

Klohie Wilson and Anna Graves packed the offensive punch in the third, going back-to-back with inside-the-park home runs in the third as the lead grew to 8-0.

Three straight hits from Harper Patrick, Kinsley Simpson and Zoi Radney helped Womack Printing get on the board in the fifth. Jazmine Shore added an RBI single in the frame, but Womack Printing couldn’t get more than two runs across.

Maci Fults hit a triple and scored in the bottom of the fifth to cap Graves Family Orchard’s scoring.

Madison Allen, Kendal Langford and Cara Rhoady added hits in the win.
