Gary Steele Karate used dominant pitching from Kendall Patrick and a five-run fifth inning to deliver a sharp kick to Game Xchange on Friday night at the Civic Center.Gary Steele won 7-2 in the finals of the double-elimination tournament to set up a championship game between two teams which are oh so familiar with one another in the boys 12-14-year-old league.Gary Steele was led by Jake Jones, Jason Brewer, and Alec Jones who had one hit apiece.For Game Xchange, Raleigh Gilliam and Alec Hobbs accounted for the team’s only two hits.Patrick finished with nine strikeouts in earning the victory. For Game Xchange, Briley Moore pitched a strong game with seven strikeouts. Six of the seven runs he allowed were due to walks or errors.Gary Steele was clinging to a 2-1 lead after four complete innings, then added five runs in the top of the fifth.Joey Rasori reached base on a walk that was followed by a Brewer double.
