Morrison Industries went through the regular season with only one loss in the boys 9-11 baseball league at the Civic Center. However, the first-place team couldn’t manage to win a tournament game.Morrison Industries managed to put up only two runs the entire game Tuesday night, allowing Fully Loaded to complete the shocking upset, 9-2, and eliminate Morrison Industries.Luke Campbell and Jathan Bogle led the way at the plate for Fully Loaded in the win as they both went 2-for-2.Kyler Robinson put in an impressive showing on the mound, shutting down the powerful Morrison Industries offense, going four innings, allowing two runs and striking out seven.Brayan Holgain and Nathan Elrod had four of the team’s six hits combined to lead in the hitting column for Morrison Industries.Fully Loaded took the early lead in the top of the first inning after an error by Morrison Industries, scoring a run, 1-0.Morrison Industries tied the game in the bottom of the inning courtesy of a Harley Hernandez RBI single, 1-1.An RBI single by Bogle and an error, scoring two more runs in the top of the second, helped Fully Loaded take a three-run lead, 4-1.After Morrison Industries failed to score any runs in the bottom of the inning, Fully Loaded extended its lead in the top of the third as it watched four runs cross the plate thanks to timely hitting, 8-1.Morrison Industries cut the deficit to six, 8-2, in the bottom of the inning but its struggles continued at the plate as that was the only run of the inning.Fully Loaded made it a seven-run ballgame again in the top of the fourth, 9-2, and Morrison Industries' season was hanging in the balance heading into the bottom of the inning, needing to overcome a huge deficit. Morrison Industries got a runner on second base with one out but saw its final two batters strike out to end the game, eliminating them from tournament contention and sending Fully Loaded to the next round.
