Morgan Frye had three hits and K.B. Cantrell and Gabi Keith combined to shut down the Shelbyville Eaglettes as the Warren County High School softball team won 5-4 Monday night.The Lady Pioneers have now won nine of their last 13 games, improving their record to 17-16 as the team closes in on a school record for victories. Warren County won 19 games last season to set the record.Warren County completed the sweep of Shelbyville this season Monday night as the Lady Pioneers won their home game 9-5 March 29.The game was much closer the second time around, but Frye had a big night at the plate and the duo of pitchers for the Lady Pioneers got the job done in the circle.Warren County took the lead in the top of the third. Monica Lane sparked a three-run rally with a lead-off double and would come around when sophomore Jessie Newby hit a triple just out of the reach of the right fielder.Newby scored on a single by Sarah Jacobs, then Frye rattled the fence in center field as her deep drive missed being a home run by inches.
