Former WCHS athletes take talents to college

The sports scene has been slow in Warren County as winter sports ended in February and spring sports have yet to begin, but former Pioneers and Lady Pioneers have been busy with their college teams.Several Warren County athletes are now taking the field at the next level, whether it be on the diamond, the hardwood or the gridiron.Taylor Grissom, Morgan Frye and Gabi Keith couldn’t say good-bye to each other after last year’s softball season as the trio all signed to play for the Motlow State Lady Bucks. Part of a senior class that won over 60 games at Warren County, Grissom, Frye and Keith are making an immediate impact in Tullahoma.Keith has remained in the circle to pitch for the Lady Bucks, but her teammates have shown some versatility at the next level. Grissom moved across the diamond to play third base after playing first base for the Lady Pioneers and Frye made the shift from catcher to left field.
