Superlatives keep rolling in for Warren County High School spring sports teams. John Jackson highlighted the honors for the Pioneer soccer team, with the freshman garnering co-midfield MVP honors in District 6AAA. Senior James Jackson and sophomore Jerry Mrema were selected on the first-team, all-district list, while senior Etson Mendez and junior Rob Phillips were named on the second team. Warren County (10-8) was ousted in the opening round of the district tournament 2-0 by Rhea County, but it didn’t stop district coaches from celebrating the talents of several Pioneers.
