Everything the Morrison Eagles had on the line Monday night was in jeopardy going into the second half at Eastside Elementary Gym. The top spot in the postseason 7-8 grade tournament, a share of the regular-season championship and a sweep over their rival Bulldogs seemed bleak.The Eagles wouldn’t quit though. Morrison fought back in the second half, getting a go-ahead 3-pointer by Ethan Smith and late free throws by Caleb Newby to secure a 38-34 victory over the Bulldogs.Morrison (9-1) was in the driver’s seat in the boys league heading into Monday’s game courtesy of a 30-25 win over Irving College Jan. 16.
