The race for the regular season championship in boys 9-10-year-old junior league is over, but the rest of the league teams are still jockeying for position before next week’s tournament starts.The Foodland Plus Phillies clinched the title with a win over the Southern Standard Mets Monday, but three games Tuesday jumbled up the standings going into the final day.The Brent’s Computers Cubs moved into a three-way tie for third with a 10-3 win over the Quality Mold Padres, while the State Farm White Sox and the Pioneer Pediatric Rays each improved to 4-4 with victories Tuesday night.The Cubs began a busy night at Hoover and Millraney Field with an impressive win over the Padres. Brandon Hennessee took a leading role for the Cubs, as he pitched four innings to pick up the win and also added two hits.Jaeden Pyburn had a night to remember as well, as the Cubs first basemen had two big blasts in the final three innings. Pyburn hit a grand slam in the fourth inning, then followed it up with a two-run shot over the left-field fence in the sixth.
