Fall leagues to offer more youth baseball

The boys of summer will have a chance to return to the baseball diamond at McMinnville Civic Center very soon.Starting July 16, the Warren County Youth Baseball Association will begin holding sign-ups for fall leagues to be played at McMinnville Civic Center.Two leagues will be offered to boys ranging from ages 6-10. A 6-8 boys machine-pitch league will be played on the Jim Mansfield Field, while a boys 8-10 junior league will be held at Hoover and Millraney Field.New McMinnville Parks and Recreation director Scott McCord is happy to announce the return of baseall with two fall leagues. The plan developed quickly during the course of spring, when baseball and softball leagues ran each night at the Civic Center from April to June.The decision was made to keep the leagues to the age groups which had the most participants during the spring leagues.
