Donald Hillis Realty defeated Bob Young’s Nursery 8-6 in a close matchup Tuesday as the 9-11 boys junior league season continues at McMinnville Civic Center.The win allows Donald Hillis Realty to tie Bob Young’s Nursery atop the standings as both teams are now 3-1.The Bob Young boys were down 2 runs after Donald Hillis Realty made it a 2-0 deficit after the top of the first Bob Young’s Nursery would have to dig out of.Dig they did, and with spades as runs by Cameron Perry, Andrew Key, Lucas Young and Aiden Young put Bob Young’s up, 4-2.Donald Hillis Realty didn’t like the numbers however, and renegotiated with intensity in the fourth inning as Jaxsyn Patterson, Garryn Duggin, Kyler Robinson, Aiden Miller and Kenyon Reno all met their quota scoring a run each to jump ahead of Bob Young’s Nursery 7-4.Donald Hillis Realty’s Duggin added one more run in the fourth, 8-4, for some insurance while Bob Young’s Nursery couldn’t plant enough runners in a rally that scored Sylar Simmons and Rylie Barrett, 8-6, before going out swinging.
