Dibrell brought its A-game Monday night in the first round of the 7-8 grade WCEBA tournament, winning handily, 50-14, over Irving College’s Tigers. The contest looked almost like a first-half shutout for the Wildcats until Tiger Abram Stinson garnered a point from the charity stripe, 31-1, at the break.Irving College was handing out turnovers like candy at Halloween, and the Wildcats took maximum advantage making the Tigers offensive attack at the basket a one-way trip on each possession. Combined with boards from the outside shots the Tigers were taking, Irving College’s offense just couldn’t gain any traction.“I’m proud of the team. They played a good game,” said Dibrell head coach Dustin Curtis.
