Triple C Nurserys Annabella Culwell gets a hit Thursday against Denning and Cantrell.
Denning and Cantrell came up with a total tally that was in its favor 15-6 as they played Triple C Nursery on Thursday night on Pete Holt Field in continuing 7-9 girls youth league season play.Denning and Cantrell jumped to an early lead, scoring 6 runs in the top of the first inning. Kaidence Crouch, Ruby Denning, Bella Campbell, Olivia Eckel, Boey Adams, and Elizabeth Bryant all crossed home for the Denning and Cantrell team.Holding Triple C Nursery to no runs until the fourth inning with their tough defense, Denning and Cantrell went on to score 5 runs in the third as Eckel, Adams, Bryant, Lola Wells and Mackenzie Hale all tacked on runs for an 11-0 lead.Down by almost a dozen, Triple C hit the diamond hard in the fourth inning, rallying for 5 runs after Amaya Martin, Annabella Culwell, Kaydence Tanner, Stella Dunn and Emma Neal added the offense for Triple C to put a dent in the deficit, 11-5.Stepping up the defense in the bottom of the fifth, Triple C couldn’t keep the drive alive in the sixth however, as they scored just once more in the ballgame when Kennedy Scott crossed home to make it an 11-6 ballgame.Denning and Cantrell made it tough in the fifth however, as they put together a rally of their own as Crouch, Adams, Wells and Hale put an exclamation mark on the win by adding 4 runs.
