Cross country team ready to race

Jake Toney jogs to end his workout during cross country practice Tuesday morning at WCHS. Toney will be one of the new members on the team for the 2016 season as a freshman.
The Warren County High School cross country team has been working hard during the summer, trying to improve from last season. Led by head coach Carol Nelson, the Pioneers and the Lady Pioneers seem to have all of the pieces in place to have a great season.Both teams have also benefited this summer with some help from former WCHS track and cross country star Amiel Emerson, who broke numerous records while at WCHS and is currently a member of the Sewanee Tigers track and field team as a senior.Talking about the girls season recap from last year, Nelson had this to say. “Last year, we had a lot of new girls.
